Our School Approach

Serenity Islamic School is located in Rockaway Township in Morris County. Our approach to education draws upon several early childhood philosophies, with particular inspiration from the Reggio Emilia approach. In our Preschool program, we use Creative Curriculum to support hands-on learning and exploration. In Kindergarten and First Grade, we use Fundations along with pacing guides aligned with the local public school district to support strong academic development.

At the heart of our philosophy is a deep respect for each child, their individuality, and their unique abilities. We encourage children to learn through exploration, discovery, and meaningful engagement with their environment. Our students develop their understanding of the world as they build relationships with their families, teachers, and one another in a supportive and nurturing community.
